Quite often when we think of appliance manufacturers we assume they started in the technology boom of the twentieth century. Neff, rather suprisingly, opened its doors in Germany way back in 1877!
Once again, completely shattering our assumptions, the microwave, the guilty pleasure of any modern kitchen has bee around since the 1970s, or so you believe. Neff actually launched the first ever microwave oven in 1957, just five years before Whitakers of Shipley first threw open their doors to the appliance hungry people of Yorkshire.
In the UK NEFF is owned by the same company responsible for distributing both Bosch and Seimens and has won several Good Housekeeping Awards over the years.
